OUR MISSION is to lift up the Light of Jesus Christ so that His truth, love, and peace might shine into the darkness of our world that others might be drawn to the Light of the knowledge of God.

Gloria Dei is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The ELCA includes over 5 million people, and is the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States. Gloria Dei is a part of the Northern Great Lakes Synod, made up of 94 congregations in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and five counties in northern Wisconsin. Our bishop is Pastor Thomas Skrenes. The synod offices are located in Marquette, Michigan.
